Person Hospitalized After 2-Vehicle Coram Crash
A person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Coram. A 47-year-old Coram man was riding a bicycle northbound on West Yaphank Road, south of Beach Lane, when he was struck by a northbound 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old woman. The bicyclist was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Grace, The driver of the Sonata was not injured. Woman Attacked By Dog At Long Island Home
A woman is recovering after being attacked by a dog on Long Island. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Elmont. Nassau County Police officers responding to the Newburgh Street residence found the 81-year-old had suffered multiple lacerations to various parts of her body. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition. The Nassau County Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded and secured the animals. The investigation is ongoing.

Wanted Driver Drags, Injures Deputy Following Traffic Stop In Bohemia, Police Say
A Long Island man wanted by police tried fleeing a traffic stop, injuring a sheriff’s deputy in the process, authorities said. The incident happened in Bohemia on Lincoln Avenue, at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. Suffolk County Sheriff’s officials said the deputy stopped 37-year-old Christopher Brown, of Holbrook, and informed him he was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Amityville. The warrant stemmed from charges of driving without a license and displaying illegal plates. One person suffered severe injures in a two-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened just before noon Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Oceanside. A 63-year-old man operating a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle was involved in the collision with a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee being operated by a 58-year-old man, according to Nassau County Police. A suspect was apprehended after allegedly fleeing from a stop on the Southern State Parkway. The incident began at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 when New York State Police say a tan Toyota Sienna was observed with an improper license plate on the eastbound side near Exit 2 in Wantagh.
