Authorities are seeking tips after a woman was assaulted by an unknown assailant outside a Long Island Walgreens.
The incident happened in Uniondale, outside the Walgreens at 603 Uniondale Avenue, at around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2024.
A 22-year-old woman had just exited the store and was heading for an Uber car when another woman approached and shoved her to the ground, causing cuts to the victim’s hand, Nassau County Police said. The assailant then punched the victim in the face, causing substantial pain.
Following an argument, the suspect walked away and fled in a red Honda Accord. She was last seen heading westbound on Jerusalem Avenue.
It was not immediately clear whether the two had any prior interactions.
Police described the suspect as a Black woman with short black hair. She was wearing a black sweatshirt, black leggings, and tan boots.
