Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police said at 12:45 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21, that a fatal crash in Sullivan County had closed Route 17 near Exit 112 in the town of Mamakating.

Nevel said traffic is being diverted at Exit 113 westbound. Please avoid this area if possible.
