Police Ramp-Up Patrols After Series Of Car Break-Ins In Hudson Valley
Police have ramped up patrols after a series of car break-ins in the Hudson Valley over the weekend. The incidents occurred in the Airmont area during the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 7, and Sunday, Dec. 8, said Det. Sgt. Michael Higgins with the Ramapo Police. Higgins said there had been seven victims and several other attempted larcenies from locked vehicles. "The majority of the victims had left their vehicles unlocked," Higgins said. Rash Of Car Break-Ins Under Investigation In Hudson Valley
Police are investigating following a rash of car break-ins and attempted break-ins in the region. The break-ins occurred in Dutchess County on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25, on the following Poughkeepsie roadways: Main Street S. Hamilton Street Parker Avenue Catharine Street Franklin Street Civic Center Plaza. These incidents are currently under investigation. Poughkeepsie Police remind owners that vehicles should always be locked and secured. When not in use, all valuables should be removed from the vehicle, and no items of value (including loose change) should be visible.…
