Duo On Loose After Stealing Truck, Ramming Cruiser In Capital Region: Police The New York State Police are searching for two men on foot in the region who allegedly stole a truck and rammed a trooper's cruiser. The accident occurred on the Columbia and Rensselaer county lines near Route 20 and Route 66 in the hamlet of Brainard in the Village of East Nassau. According to State Police, the two men allegedly stole the truck and then rammed a troop car while a trooper was getting into the vehicle.  The second suspect, not pictured in the photo above, is described as a white man in dark clothing. The incident occurred in Columbia County on Friday, Oct. 18, in Hillsdale. After receiving a tip about possible animal abuse, members of the New York State Police, with the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, Animal Nation, and the Hillsdale Building Department, determined that Jennifer Rossi, age 45, and Peggy Card, age 45, both of Hillsdale, failed to care for the animals, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Crash In Region, Driver Charged A 28-year-old man from the region has been identified as the victim of a single-vehicle fatal crash in which the driver was charged with vehicular manslaughter.  The collision occurred in Greene County at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, on Route 54 in the town of New Baltimore. State Police troopers responded to a Columbia County 911 broadcast about the suspect on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The suspect, Andrew J. Case, age 41, of West Seneca, in Erie County, was located and arrested on Route 9 in the Columbia County town of Greenport, according to police. Fatal Crash: 31-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Hudson Valley A 31-year-old motorist was killed after crashing into a tree. The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, in Columbia County. An investigation determined that a motorcycle driven by Schenectady County resident Randall D. Collins, age 31, of the town of Glenville, was traveling east on Route 28 in the town of Kinderhook when he went off the south shoulder, through a field and struck a tree, according to New York State Police. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. Niverville Fire and Greenport Rescue assisted state police. The investigation is ongoing.

Alert Issued For Missing 33-Year-Old Hudson Valley Woman A 33-year-old woman from the region has gone missing, and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. New York State Police issued an alert on Sunday, July 21, noting that Columbia County resident Hope Marie Duntz, of the city of Hudson, was reported missing by her family. She is described as being 5-foot-4 and 155 pounds. She has blonde hair with green tips and blue eyes. Capital Region Woman Accused Of Stalking A resident from the region has been accused of stalking. New York State Police in Columbia County from the Livingston barracks say an investigation determined Tara Tomlin, age 29, of Elizaville, contacted the past and current employer of the victim to make false allegations of drug use and inappropriate behavior. On Tuesday, June 25, Tomlin was charged with: Aggravated harassment in the second degree,  Stalking in the fourth degree. Tomlin was arraigned before the city of Hudson Court and released on her own recognizance to reappear on Tuesday, July 2.
