Child Airlifted After Fall On Field Trip In Region A child was airlifted to the hospital after being seriously injured during a fall on a school field trip in the region. The incident happened at about 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 in Dutchess County at the Mount Beacon Trail head. Initial updates from the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response 911 Center (DCDER) indicated that the school personnel had administered first aid and were attempting to assist the patient down the mountain, according to information provided by the Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Fatal Crash: 19-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Region A 19-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash after he allegedly ran a red light in the region, striking another car.
