Saratoga County Man Beats Victim Unconscious, Police Say A Capital Region man was nabbed for allegedly beating another person unconscious that he did not know. The incident occurred in Saratoga County around 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, in Clifton Park. According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, the victim, suffering from multiple visible injuries, went to the State Police headquarters to report the crime. An investigation determined the victim was in the area of Maxwell Drive when they were allegedly approached by Malik L. 21-Year-Old Jumps From New Tappan Zee Bridge This story has been updated. A 21-year-old man jumped midspan from the new Tappan Zee Bridge and was rescued from the water. The incident occurred on the Westchester/Rockland County border around 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 13. According to the Tarrytown Fire Department, the Marine 5 crew responded within minutes, equipped with rescue swimmers onboard. The crew quickly located the victim in the water, loaded the man into the boat, and brought them back to the Tarrytown Marina.  The department said they were cared for by EMS there before being transferred to Westchester Medical Center in…

Woman Critical After Stabbing, Assault On Street In Region Police are investigating and searching for a suspect after a woman was found stabbed and assaulted on a Hudson Valley street. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Monday, Sept. 30, around 7:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Main Street in Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, officers found the 35-year-old woman semi-conscious with severe facial wounds and a stab wound to the back. Trooper Shoots Man Who Aimed Vehicle At Officer In Region, Police Say A 63-year-old man was shot once by a New York State trooper after he allegedly drove toward a police officer at a high rate of speed after threatening them with a gun.  The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, at two locations on Route 97.
