Sampada Aduulla Killed In Nesconset Highway Hit-And-Run A 24-year-old woman killed in a hit-and-run crash while crossing Nesconset Highway in Lake Grove has been identified, Suffolk County Police announced on Sunday, Feb. 2. Sampada Aduulla, of Lake Grove, was struck by an eastbound vehicle near Hallock Road at 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, police said. The driver fled the scene. Aduulla was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Suffolk County Woman Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Boat, Sparking Fire: Police A woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a chaotic crash on Long Island that ended with a boat catching fire. Suffolk County Police said the incident occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, in Babylon.  Multiple 911 callers reported a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 231.  The vehicle, a 2021 Kia Forte, crossed over the median and continued south in the proper lanes, hitting road signs along the way. It happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, in Mount Sinai. The victim was driving a black 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle in the wrong direction on southbound Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road, when he collided with a 2022 Honda CR-V at the intersection of Canal Road.
