$50K Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Selden Grocery Store
Might this lucky ticket be yours? A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at a Long Island grocery store, New York Lottery announced. The third prize-winning ticket was sold in Selden, at the Shoprite store at 71 College Plaza, for the drawing held on Saturday, Oct. 5. Saturday’s winning numbers are 2-12-46-52-65 and the Powerball is 3. Players can check their ticket status on the New York Lottery website.

Seen Her Or This Car? Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Woman
Have you seen her? A Long Island woman has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. Betty Falk, age 66, was last seen leaving her Hewlett home in her 2023 black Mercedes-Benz around 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7. She is described as being vulnerable. Police say she's 5-foot-4, 110 pounds with long black hair. Her destination is unknown. State Awards $3.5M For Shoreline Restoration At Long Island Beaches
New York State will spend millions of dollars rebuilding Long Island beaches. The state has allocated $3.5 million for shoreline restoration projects at Tobay and Overlook beaches in the wake of significant storm damage and erosion. Fortification work will include dredging the Fire Island Inlet and placing nearly 1.25 million cubic yards of sand at Gilgo State Park, Tobay Beach, and Overlook Beach. A half dozen members of the notorious MS-13 gang were slapped with federal charges in the murder of a 21-year-old man who was found dead at a Long Island park. 14-Year-Old Severely Injured In Sunrise Highway Crash
A teenage suffered critical injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened on Friday, Oct. 4, at 9:40 p.m. in Merrick, according to Nassau County Police. A 41-year-old man operating a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling westbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) was involved in a collision with a 14-year-old boy riding a bicycle northbound on Merrick Avenue.
