The discovery was made in Brentwood, near the interaction of Fifth Avenue and Bancroft Road, shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Suffolk County Police said someone called 911 about remains found in a sump. It was determined the remains were those of a human. Nassau County Police detectives say officers responded to reports of human remains found at Hempstead Harbor in Roslyn just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10. Human Remains Found Behind Lowe's Store In East Garden City An investigation is underway after human remains were found behind a Long Island Lowe's store. Nassau County Police received a 911 call at around 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, reporting possible remains in the wooded area in East Garden City, in the rear of 700 Dibblee Drive, near the Meadowbrook Parkway.  Upon arrival, officers noticed an abandoned encampment and discovered human remains.  The Nassau County PD Homicide Squad and the Medical Examiner responded to the scene.  The body was removed from the scene and brought to the Medical Examiner’s office for further examination.…

Garry Cowell, age 72 of Patchogue, was arrested on Thursday, June 27, according to Suffolk County Police. At approximately 4:30 p.m., police discovered human remains in East Patchogue along Montauk Highway near County Road 101.
