Man Burglarizes LI Dunkin Donuts 2X, Violating Protection Order: Police
A man experiencing homelessness is accused of burglarizing a Dunkin Donuts in Lawrence before violating an Order of Protection against him, Nassau County police announced on Sunday, Dec. 29. Mark Berko, 31, allegedly entered the Dunkin Donuts at 299 Burnside Avenue around 1:17 a.m., police said. He forcibly removed the cash drawer from the register, fled outside, and smashed it on the sidewalk to access the money inside. 15-Year-Old Long Island Girl Has Been Missing For 5 Days
Authorities are asking for help in locating a Long Island teenager who has been missing for several days. Nathalie Sevilla, age 15, was last seen leaving her Lawrence residence at around 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Relatives contacted Nassau County Police on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Sevilla is 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Her clothing description and possible destination were not immediately available. Driver Injured In Road Rage Shooting Near Long Island Shopping Center
A driver was shot near a Long Island shopping center in an apparent act of road rage. The incident happened in Lawrence, at the Five Towns Shopping Center on Rockaway Turnpike, at around 8:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16. Nassau County Police said a 54-year-old man was driving a pickup truck northbound on Rockaway Turnpike when he got into a road rage confrontation with another man driving a sedan. Duo Nabbed After Item Worth $5.7K Stolen From Long Island Store: Police
A pair of suspects are in custody after police say an item worth thousands of dollars was stolen from a Long Island store. The alleged incident happened around 2:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, in Lawrence, at Kay Jewelers at 331 Rockaway Turnpike. Responding officers were informed that a man had fled the store with a necklace that he was trying on valued at approximately $5,700, according to Nassau County Police. Police are searching for a man who broke into a Long Island home and swapped his bike with another one worth $600. It happened on Monday, June 10 in Lawrence, according to Nassau County Police. At about 10:50 a.m., a man riding a green mountain bike walked up to a Cumberland Place residence and went through an unlocked door.
