A suspect is on the loose following an armed robbery at a Long Island convenience store. The incident happened in Riverhead, at the 7-Eleven store on Old Country Road, at around 1:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Riverhead Town Police said a masked man approached the counter and requested a pack of cigarettes before demanding that the female clerk open the cash register. Finger-Wagging Man Flashes Gun At Long Island Restaurant Worker, Police Say
Police arrested a man days after he allegedly brandished a gun at a Long Island restaurant worker. The incident happened in Franklin Square, at Tony’s Tacos on Hempstead Turnpike, shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23. Nassau County Police said a man entered the business and flashed a handgun at the clerk, making her fear for her life. He then fled on foot. Nobody was injured in the ordeal. Bank Robber On Run After Targeting Long Island Branch
Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Long Island. The incident happened in Central Islip, at the Bank of America on Wheeler Road, at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13. Suffolk County Police said a man demanded cash and threatened violence while displaying what appeared to be a gun in his waistband. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot with cash. Man Allegedly Rams Police Officer With Car Multiple Times During Long Island Arrest
During a police investigation, a Long Island man allegedly rammed his vehicle into arresting officers multiple times before fleeing. It happened in Carle Place on Tuesday, May 28. Just before 4:30 p.m., Nassau County Police Bureau of Special Operations (BSO) Officers traveled to the Holiday Inn, located at 369 Old Country Road, to arrest Peter Centeno on an active bench warrant. Centeno, age 42, of Hicksville, was found behind the hotel in a 2023 Chevy Malibu.
