Police Break Up Illegal Car Rally, Issue 31 Summonses, Make Arrest On Long Island A large-scale vehicle rally led to an arrest and multiple summonses on Long Island after police discovered the disturbance. Nassau County Police said officers from the Third Precinct, on routine patrol around 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, found what appeared to be an illegal vehicle rally and possible street takeover in East Garden City, near 711 Stewart Ave.  Additional units, including the Bureau of Special Operations, Aviation Unit, Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT), and Emergency Service Unit, were called to assist. Duo Nabbed After Robbery At Macy's Store On Long Island, Police Say Two men are accused of robbing an employee at a Macy’s store on Long Island. Nassau County Police were called to the Macy’s store in Manhasset, located at 1100 Northern Boulevard, for a robbery at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16. A loss prevention employee told officers that two men stole items before fleeing in a black Kia. On their way out, one of the men was involved in a physical altercation with the worker. The arrests occurred as part of a “Project 21” bust that took place in East Meadow on Thursday, June 20.
