Justin Timberlake Admits Driving While Impaired In Sag Harbor
Justin Timberlake formally accepted a plea deal in his alleged drunk driving case in New York. The former NSYNC frontman, age 43, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired in Sag Harbor Village court on Friday, Sept. 13. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete 25 hours of community service within a year. He also agreed to make a public safety announcement about the dangers of drinking and driving. A 26-year-old man is accused of targeting a Long Island resident through an elaborate computer scam. Nassau County Police said an 82-year-old East Meadow man contacted detectives at around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, saying he had received a message on his computer from someone claiming to be an employee for Microsoft. A man hoping to sell a bracelet to a Long Island jewelry store was instead beaten and robbed. Nassau County Police said the 31-year-old victim called what he thought was Five Towns Jewelry Buyers, located in Cedarhurst on Willow Avenue, at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11. A 20-year-old man will spend decades behind bars for fatally stabbing a man in a Long Island traffic circle in broad daylight. A 23-year-old Long Island man was killed after he was struck by a Long Island Railroad train. According to David Steckel with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Christopher Reitzel, of Medford, was hit by LIRR Train 64 at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, west of the Sayville Train station when he was on the tracks without authorization. EMS transported Reitzel to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead, MTA said.
