Red Light Camera Programs To Be Extended In These NY Locales To protect motorists on New York roads, Gov. Kathy Hochul has announced the creation of a new red light camera program in the Hudson Valley and the expansion of other initiatives across the state.  In an announcement on Wednesday, Oct. 23, Hochul revealed that she signed legislation to extend several existing red light camera programs in Westchester, Albany, and Nassau counties.  The legislation also includes the "largest expansion" of the red light camera program in New York City's history, Hochul's office said. Schenectady County Capital Region Woman Involved In Wrong-Way Crash Nabbed For DWI, Police Say A Capital Region woman was nabbed for alleged drunk driving and vehicular assault after crashing into another vehicle while driving the wrong way on a busy highway. The incident occurred in Albany at 1 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, on the I-87 Thruway. According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, troopers charged Schenectady County resident Alexandria M. Mercedes Theft Leads To Arrest Of Man For DWI/Drugs In Region, Police Say A Hudson Valley man nabbed for the alleged theft of a 2005 gold Mercedes from a Budget 19 Motel led to his arrest for a host of charges, including alleged DWI/Drugs.  The incident occurred in Ulster County around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Budget 19 Motel on Route 28 in Kingston. According to State Police Trooper Steven Nevel, in a preliminary investigation, the stolen car was involved in a collision with a 2021 Ford.
