2 Women Hospitalized After Crash Near Shopping Center In Region Two people were injured in a two-car crash in the region. The collision occurred in Dutchess County around 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, on Route 9 at the intersection of Galleria Drive near the AT&T store and Vitamin Shoppe in the Town of Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, a 2016 Honda sedan, driven by a Poughkeepsie woman, was heading northbound on Route 9 when it collided with a 2013 Audi sedan. The incident happened on the Southern State Parkway in West Hempstead, in the westbound lanes near exit 17, late Wednesday night, Oct. 30. Forest Rangers Rescue Severely Injured 78-Year-Old From Mountain In Region A hiker on a mountain in the region who may have broken their pelvis in a fall was rescued by forest rangers from the state Department of Environmental Conservation. The incident occurred in Ulster County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, on Overlook Moutain in the Echo Lake area in Woodstock.  According to the DEC, Ulster County 911 requested Forest Ranger assistance for an injured hiker on Overlook Mountain in the area of Echo Lake. Man, 55, Found Shot Dead In Hudson Valley Parking Lot Police are searching for a suspect after a 55-year-old man was found shot dead in a parking lot in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10:20 p.m., Saturday, June 1, in the area of 472 Main St., in Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Matt Clark of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, responding officers found the man at the top of the parking area.
