Fatal Crash: 24-Year-Old ID'd As Victim Near Long Island Intersection Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash near a Long Island. It happened around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Brightwaters. According to Suffolk County Police, the victim was driving a 2018 Jeep westbound on Union Boulevard near Johnson Lane when his vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane, left the roadway, and struck a light pole.
