Suspect On Loose After Long Island Bank Robbery A suspect is on the loose after a bank robbery on Long Island. A man entered the Chase branch in Shirley, located at 645 Northbound William Floyd Parkway, at about 3:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and handed the teller a note demanding cash, according to Suffolk County Police. The teller complied and the suspect fled with cash. The robber was described as a white man with brown hair, who appeared to be in his 40s. He was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. A white box truck was traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley, near Flower Hill Drive, when it struck a 2015 Kia Optima at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26.  The driver of the box truck fled the scene. Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old From Farmingville ID'd As Victim In Shirley A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight on Long Island. It happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, May 26, in Shirley. Suffolk County Police said the man was driving a 2015 Infiniti Q50 southbound on William Floyd Parkway, just north of Robinwood Drive, when he lost control of the car.  The vehicle struck a metal guardrail and overturned multiple times.
