Failed Restaurateur Murdered GF At Mineola Penthouse Before Stealing Her Dog, Jury Finds A Long Island man angered over an impending breakup shot his girlfriend to death inside her penthouse apartment, a jury found. Mark Small, age 57, of Elmont, was found guilty of murder and related charges in Nassau County Court on Thursday, Sept. 26, in the death of 39-year-old Marivel Estevez. Prosecutors said Small entered Estevez’s penthouse apartment at the Allure Mineola apartment complex on Old Country Road sometime overnight on July 28, 2022.
