Suspect Sought After Broad-Daylight Assault, Robbery At Bethpage Pub
Police are asking for help in identifying a man suspected in a broad-daylight assault and robbery at a Long Island pub. The incident happened in Bethpage, at the Susan’s Pub located on Railroad Avenue, at around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18. Nassau County Police said a masked man entered the bar and grabbed a 64-year-old male customer while demanding cash from the 64-year-old female bartender. If you recognize this early-morning burglar, police want to hear from you. Surveillance cameras were rolling when a masked man broke into a Long Island business and stole money. Investigators are hoping newly released images will lead to the identification of another victim in the Gilgo Beach serial murders. On Long Island, the Gilgo Beach Task Force distributed facial reconstructions of who they've long referred to as "Asian Doe" during a press conference in Brentwood on Monday morning, Sept. 16. A major airport no-no could cost a Long Island traveler thousands of dollars. The Suffolk County man, of Halesite, was found with a loaded gun in his carry-on bag during a security screening at LaGuardia Airport on Thursday, Sept. 5, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said. Police on Long Island are investigating the deaths of two young girls — ages 2 and 4 — who are believed to have drowned in a pond behind an apartment complex, authorities said. The girls were found behind the Fairfield Townhouses at Holtsville at 2 Victorian Court in Holtsville on Saturday, Sept. 7, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
