Parolee Shot, Killed Man Sleeping In Car In Hempstead, Jury Finds A Long Island man out on parole shot and killed a man who had been sleeping in a car, a jury found. Kadeem Lewis, age 31, of Hempstead, was found guilty of second-degree murder and related charges in Nassau County Court on Thursday, Oct. 31, in the killing of Jose Sanchez-Velasquez.
