2 Hospitalized, Including Girl, After Crash At Ronkonkoma Intersection Two people were hospitalized, including a girl who suffered severe injuries, after a crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened on Thursday, Oct. 31, at around 6:15 p.m., in Ronkonkoma. A 30-year-old man was driving a 2018 Honda Civic southbound on Ocean Avenue when the vehicle struck a pedestrian crossing the road westbound near Ontario Street, according to Suffolk County Police. 1 Seriously Injured In Overnight Ronkonkoma Crash One person suffered severe injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Ronkonkoma. A 60-year-old Ronkonkoma man was driving a 2015 Kia sedan southbound on Ocean Avenue when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at the intersection of Johnson Avenue. The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man from Daly City, California, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.  The driver of the Kia was not injured.
