3 Hospitalized After Overnight Long Island Expressway Crash
Two men and a woman were hospitalized after an overnight crash on the Long Island Expressway. It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Jericho. That's when a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound and struck a 2005 Isuzu in the vicinity of Exit 40E, according to Nassau County Police. The driver of the Isuzu, a 55-year-old man, was establishing a construction zone at the time of the accident, Nassau County Police said. Week Of Full Closures Scheduled For Portion Of Long Island Expressway
Scheduled road work could slow Long Island drivers down in the coming days. In the Town of Oyster Bay, both directions of the Long Island Expressway will see overnight closures the week of Sunday, Oct. 27, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in broad daylight on the Long Island Expressway.
