Police are searching for a masked man who allegedly slashed a Bay Shore driver in Central Islip on Halloween, Suffolk County authorities announced on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The 2016 Toyota driver was sitting in his car on Brightside Avenue when the masked suspect approached his door around 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 31, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Third Squad detectives. Halloween-Masked Stabber Sought After Random Attack On Central Islip Victim
A suspect is on the loose after a random, Halloween day stabbing attack on Long Island. The incident happened in Central Islip, outside a business on Brightside Avenue near Islip Avenue, shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Suffolk County Police said a man was sitting in the driver’s seat while parked in a lot outside the Hands Across Long Island mental health services building when a man opened his door and stabbed him with a knife. Rare Round Of Rain Will Be Followed By Change In Weather Pattern, Then It's Time To 'Fall Back'
A rare chance for rain and showers will be followed by a big change in the weather pattern at midweek. According to the National Weather Service, clouds will increase on Tuesday, Oct. 29, and temperatures will be in the low 60s. Rain and showers will move through Tuesday evening into the early morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 30, with patchy fog overnight. Rain will be heavier farther north.
