Recall Involving Bagged Carrots Expanded: See List Of Supermarkets, Products An E. coli outbreak linked to bagged organic carrots has prompted an expanded recall as the number of cases grows. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that 39 people across 18 states have been sickened.  The outbreak has resulted in 15 hospitalizations and one death. The recall initially began earlier this month when reports of illnesses linked to Grimmway Farms’ bagged carrots surfaced. Stew Leonard's Recalls Popular Product Due To Nuts Missing From Label Stew Leonard's has issued a recall of a popular dessert product. The family-owned supermarket chain said Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread may contain undeclared walnuts.  Between Thursday, Sept. 26, and Wednesday, Oct. 2, 39 units of the product were sold in Stew Leonard’s bakery department at the store’s location in Danbury, Connecticut only. The recall was initiated after a customer discovered that a loaf of Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread contained walnuts, but walnuts were not declared on the label.
