LI Resident Finds Stranger Inside Car, NYC Woman Busted For Break-Ins: Police
A 21-year-old New York City woman was busted breaking into cars on Long Island, police said.
Charmaine Skeen, of Coney Island, was spotted inside a vehicle by a victim in Valley Stream around 1:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The victim’s vehicle was parked on Munro Boulevard, and she called police when she spotted Skeen inside, authorities said.
After the suspect’s description was shared with local cops, an officer found Skeen on Munro Boulevard, but she was “violent and combative while resisting arrest,” cops said.

A man is accused of breaking into seven businesses across Bay Shore, Brentwood, and Central Islip over a three-week span, Suffolk County police announced on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Joseph Porter, 36, of Shirley, was arrested after investigators linked him to a series of overnight burglaries in the Third Precinct, police said.
Porter first broke into Winnie’s Coffee Shop on East Main Street and NAPA Auto Parts on Union Boulevard in Bay Shore between 3:20 and 3:40 a.m. on Jan. 14, police explained. The heavy objects were used to smash glass doors or windows to gain entry, investigators said.

The fourth and final detainee who escaped from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in New Jersey last month was captured Thursday, July 17, in Los Angeles, more than 2,700 miles away, the FBI said.
Andres Felipe Pineda-Mogollon, 25, a Colombian national, escaped from Delaney Hall in Newark following a riot on June 12, as previously reported by Daily Voice.

Amid the avian flu outbreak, authorities are investigating the theft of "high-value goods" from a Pennsylvania business, State Police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Approximately 100,000 organic eggs, valued at $40,000, were stolen from a distribution trailer at Pete and Gerry's Organics in Antrim Township, according to PSP Chambersburg.
The theft occurred sometime overnight on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Commerce Avenue facility, troopers detailed in the release.
