Duo Goes On ATM Burglary Spree On Long Island: Police
Two Hempstead men are accused of breaking into businesses across Nassau County and looting ATM machines, the Major Case Squad announced on Tuesday, July 1.
Kevin Calloway, 51, of South Franklin Avenue, and Dwayne Williams, 52, of Manor Avenue, were arrested after an extensive investigation linked them to multiple burglaries, according to Nassau County detectives.
The pair allegedly pried open and damaged several ATM machines, removing all the cash before fleeing each scene, police said. No injuries were reported in connection to the incidents.

A man who led a violent, drug-dealing burglary crew known as the “Route Boys” will spend over two decades in federal prison.
Jason Liriano, 25, of Brooklyn–also known as “jay bigfella”–was sentenced to 22 years behind bars in Central Islip federal court on Tuesday, April 29. It followed his September 2023 guilty plea to drug trafficking and firearms charges.
Tuesday’s sentencing marked the final chapter in a wide-reaching crime spree that spanned New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Duo Nabbed For String Of Suffolk County ATM Burglaries
Two men have been accused of burglarizing multiple businesses and stealing ATMs on Long Island.
Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives, the two were arrested and charged with a series of commercial burglaries and an attempted burglary between Tuesday, March 5, and Monday, March 11.
During the burglaries, police say, John Mahoney, 41, of Mastic, and Jamie Volini, age 46, of East Patchogue, forced entry through broken doors and windows into closed gas stations and businesses and damaged or stole the ATMs.
