Man Stabbed To Death In Hudson Valley, Suspect On Run Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed and killed on a city street. The incident occurred in Orange County at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 120 Parmenter St., in the city of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, chief of staff for the city, officers responding to a shot spotter notification found the man with injuries consistent with a stabbing. Officers requested emergency medical services and began life-saving measures. Neppl said the victim was transported to Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, where he died from his …

'Happy-Go-Lucky' Westchester Police Officer Killed In Crash A 23-year-old Westchester County police officer was killed in a Hudson Valley crash. The crash occurred in Orange County at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, in the town of Highlands on Route 9W northbound according to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police. Port Chester Police Officer Christopher Bernal, who was driving a 2004 Honda motorcycle northbound on SR 9W, was killed when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, Nevel said.
