Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Jumper Identified As Dutchess County 34-Year-Old This story has been updated. The person who jumped from the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge has been identified as a Hudson Valley man. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on the Beacon side of the bridge at around 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Man Kills Parents Before Jumping To Death From Bridge In Region, Police Say A man from the region murdered both of his parents before jumping to his death from a highway bridge in upstate New York, police said. Troopers in Albany were called about a man threatening to jump from the Patroon Island Bridge (I-90) at around 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. Before they could get there, the man jumped and was found dead below the bridge. New York State Police identified the man as 35-year-old Jordan Miklowitz, of Schenectady. Body Of Man Who Jumped From Hudson Valley Bridge Recovered The body of a man who jumped from a bridge in the region has been recovered. The incident occurred on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge on Saturday, Aug. 3. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 21-year-old Montgomery man jumped from the bridge mid-span at around 11:25 a.m.  The New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team recovered the body on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at approximately 2:25 p.m.  The man's identity has not been released pending family notification.  This is a developing story.
