22-Year-Old Stabbed In Capital Region; Search Underway For Suspect
Police are investigating a stabbing in the region that sent a man to the hospital. The attack happened in Albany, near the intersection of Quail and West streets, shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Albany Police said officers found a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed in his back. The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a man who was found lying on a roadway in the region. Emergency crews in Albany were called about someone lying in the roadway near the intersection of Commerce Avenue and North Manning Boulevard shortly after 5 a.m. Monday, July 29. Six teenagers are recovering after a shooting at a Fourth of July party in the region. Police in Albany were called about a shooting in the city’s Pine Hills neighborhood, on Myrtle Avenue near Quail Street, at around 12:15 a.m. Friday, July 5. When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire in the home’s backyard and in the street that occurred during a large gathering, police said. A 24-year-old man was killed and a second victim was injured in an early-morning stabbing attack in the region. Emergency crews in Albany were called at around 3:40 a.m. Monday, June 3, for a stabbing near Washington Avenue and Quail Street, one block from the University at Albany’s downtown campus. Man Lying In Roadway Struck, Killed By Car In Capital Region
A 64-year-old man was struck and killed by a car in the region while lying in the roadway. The incident happened at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, in Albany’s Pine Hills neighborhood. Albany Police said the victim was lying in the roadway on Washington Avenue near Quail Street when he was hit by a vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
