An early morning fire in the Capital Region claimed the lives of a mother and her son. Firefighters in the Village of Colonie responded to a residence on Tanglewood Road for a structure fire with possible entrapment at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26. Arriving crews encountered heavy smoke and fire. The fire was deemed under control in less than 30 minutes, fire officials said.
