Person Jumps From Newburgh-Beacon Bridge
Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. According to New York State Police, the unidentified person jumped from the bridge on the Beacon side, and a search is ongoing. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Driver Flown to Hospital After Truck Rolls Over On I-84 In Hudson Valley
An interstate in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed after a truck overturned, injuring the driver. The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 10, when a truck crashed on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 just east of Route 312 in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department. As a result of the crash, the driver became trapped inside the truck's twisted structure. SUV Crashes Down Embankment In Hudson Valley
A driver was hospitalized after their vehicle plunged down an embankment in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Sept. 7, when an SUV crashed into the woods at around 1:40 a.m. in the area of Nicholas Way in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Arriving fire crews found that the driver had managed to escape the vehicle on their own after the crash. The driver was then taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation, the department said. Fatal Crash: 22-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Region
A 22-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. It happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in Schoharie County in the town of Seward. An electric bicycle being operated by Mackenzie T. Bamberger of Cobleskill entered the intersection from Hill Road. It was then struck by a vehicle northbound on State Route 10, according to New York State Police. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and called for emergency services. Car Crashes Over Guardrail, Causing Closure Of Hudson Valley Road
A busy Hudson Valley road was closed for around an hour after a vehicle crashed over the guardrail into the woods. The crash happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Aug. 18 around 3:30 p.m., when a car crashed over a guardrail on Route 32 (Crane Road) in the area of Angela Drive in the town of Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. No injuries were reported and both the driver and passenger refused ambulance trips. Route 32 was closed for about an hour as the vehicle was towed away.

School Employee Hospitalized After Explosion At Maintenance Building In Westchester
A 69-year-old man from the Hudson Valley was injured in an explosion inside a school district maintenance building in Westchester that also caused a small fire. The incident happened on Tuesday, Aug. 13 just before 1:20 p.m., when an oil tank explosion was reported at a Mamaroneck School District maintenance building and garage at 119 Gertrude Ave., according to Lt.
