Man Found Sleeping In Stolen Car At Gas Station In Region, Police Say
A man is facing charges after he was allegedly found sleeping in a stolen car at a Capital Region gas station. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7-Eleven on Route 50 in Wilton for a welfare check at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. Deputies arrived to find Joseph Plummer, 35, of Galway, asleep in a vehicle at a gas pump, the agency said. He had been sleeping in the car, which had been reported stolen out of Massachusetts, for several hours, according to police. Christopher Katz, a 22-year-old Capitol Police recruit officer and Army Reserve lieutenant from Northern Westchester, is being remembered as someone who spent his life protecting others following his death in a crash earlier this month. Katz, a 22-year-old resident of Crompond, died on Saturday, Feb. 1, in a car crash near the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glen County, Georgia. Police ID 21-Year-Old Man Killed In Single-Car Crash On I-87 In Ulster County
New York State Police have identified a 21-year-old Rockland County man killed in in a single-vehicle crash in Ulster County. Randolph E. Quintanilla Revolorio, of Nanuet was killed around 6 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, on I-87 southbound near Exit 19 in the town of Ulster, State Police said. A preliminary investigation revealed that Revolorio was driving a 2008 Honda when it exited the roadway through the right shoulder for unknown reasons and struck a tree. A 67-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Route 376 in the Town of Wappinger, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office announced. Capt. John Watterson of the Sheriff's Office said it is investigating the fatal car-pedestrian crash that occurred on Thursday, Dec. 21, around 5:30 p.m. on Route 376 near Hackensack Heights Road in Wappinger.
