A driver who admitted to falling asleep at the wheel and causing the crash that killed a gifted 24-year-old college student and pianist in Dutchess County will spend time in jail.
Rohan Patrick, age 42, was sentenced on Tuesday, June 17, to 364 days in jail after pleading guilty in March to criminally negligent homicide in connection with the crash, Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi announced.

A 24-year-old Hudson Valley woman was killed after crashing on the New York State Thruway in Rockland County, authorities said.
The fatal crash happened in Ramapo around 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, on the southbound side of Interstate 87 near Exit 14A, in the town of Ramapo, New York State Police announced.

A mother and her 3-year-old son were found dead in a car outside their Quakertown home, the Bucks County Coroner’s Office announced on Tuesday, June 10.
Agnes Dawidowicz, 42, and her son Charlie Dawidowicz, 3, were discovered unresponsive in a vehicle parked at their residence on the 2100 block of Barley Drive on Sunday, June 8, authorities said.
