NYC Taxi Jumps Curb: 9-Year-Old Boy Among 6 Struck On Christmas, Nypd Says (Update) A 9-year-old boy was among three people hospitalized when a taxi drove up onto the sidewalk and plowed into six pedestrians on Christmas Day in New York City, the NYPD says. The 58-year-old male taxi cab driver was heading north when his vehicle went onto the sidewalk at 34th Street and struck the six people just before 4 p.m., a spokesperson for the NYPD said.  Among those injured were a 9-year-old boy who suffered a cut on his right thigh, a 19-year-old female, a 37-year-old female, a 41-year-old female, and two 49-year-old women, one of whom suffered a leg injury.  Police did …

Hudson Valley Man Asleep In Busy Traffic Lane, Crashes Into Numerous Cars, Police Say Aman who was allegedly asleep behind the wheel of his car on a roadway in the Hudson Valley woke up when police arrived, crashed into numerous vehicles, and attempted to flee, injuring several people.  The incident occurred in Rockland County in Spring Valley at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Hudson Valley Man Killed After Crashing SUV Into Guardrail A Hudson Valley man was killed after crashing an SUV into the center median guardrail on Route 17. The incident occurred in Orange County at 7:50 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, on Route 17 westbound near Exit 122 in Wallkill. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, arriving troopers found a 2020 Chevrolet SUV crashed into the center median with the driver, identified as Arthur Anderson, age 53, of Middletown, unconscious and entrapped in the vehicle.  Wallkill EMS and Mechanicstown Fire Department extricated Anderson from the vehicle, and he was transported to G…
