Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies safely resolved a tense domestic dispute involving an armed man early Christmas morning, authorities said. At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute at 144 Lucky Lake Drive in Rock Hill, the department said. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Justin J. Gallo, 37, had argued with family members, fired a shotgun through a glass door, and was threatening to harm himself. Drug Task Force Provides Holiday Cheer By Busting Dutchess County Dealer: Police
An alleged fentanyl dealer is behind bars after being busted during a "buy" by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. Bernard Diggs, of Poughkeepsie, was charged on Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the area of South Cherry Street on the south side of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the task force, agents focused on Diggs after receiving tips and began buying drugs from him. On Tuesday, agents located Diggs in the area of Cherry Street while he was in the process of conducting a hand-to-hand exchange of narcotics with an unidentified woman, Harris said.…

A violent altercation in the region has led to the arrest of a man accused of allegedly assaulting another man with a knife and causing extensive damage to his vehicle. According to Lt. Mark Johnston of the Village of Monticello Police, the incident occurred on Friday, Dec. 13, at 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Stewart’s convenience store on Forestburgh Road. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of Isaiah E. Lodge, age 27, after deputies responded to a disturbance call and he bit them and held one in a chokehold. Capt. John Watterson said the incident occurred in Poughkeepsie around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12. Five people were nabbed on alleged weapons-related charges during a traffic stop in the region. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, on Route 17K in the town of Bloomingburg.
