2 Teens Found Stabbed In Large Brawls In Dutchess County

Two 17-year-old boys were found with stab wounds following large fights in Dutchess County, including one that was a continuation of the other in a different location.

The incident began on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at around 7:15 p.m., when a large fight was reported on Mansion Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, according to the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department. 

Officers and detectives responded to the scene, where they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, police said. 

Shortly after, another disturbance was reported on Hooker Avenue. When officers arrived, they determined the second incident was a continuation of the Mansion Street altercation. There, police found another 17-year-old boy who had suffered a stab wound to the back. However, he refused medical attention. 

Authorities have not yet released details about potential suspects or what led to the violence.
