Starting Sunday, the Department of Transportation will be paving a segment of the Taconic from Hortentown Road to I-84 in East Fishkill and Kent.
The project will mill between 1inch and 1 1/2 inches of asphalt pavement and replace it with 1 to 2 inches of new hot mix asphalt pavement. This route serves as a major commuter connection between Dutchess County and New York Metropolitan Region and carries roughly 25500 vehicles per day.
The work will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 p.m., northbound and southbound.
