New York State Police said State Route 9G/Violet Avenue in Dutchess County will close for about two hours on Thursday, Oct. 28, due to an investigation between E/W Dorsey Lane and Cottage Road in Hyde Park. Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. A busy stretch of I-84 is closed during the height of the morning commute after a serious crash in Connecticut. The closure is in both directions after the crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer happened on the eastbound side just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Northern Fairfield County near Exit 13.
