Man From Region Attacks Deputies After Narcan Brings Him Back To Life, Police Say
A 40-year-old who overdosed on drugs and was brought back to life with Narcan allegedly attacked deputies who saved him, police said. The incident took place in Sullivan County in Lake Kiamesha around 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19 on Route 42. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies responded to the scene of a vehicle crash and found a 2022 Toyota Prius in a ditch and Robert Forgione, of Loch Sheldrake, sitting on the ground against the car. One of the cars involved in a head-on crash over the summer that killed five people on Long Island reached top speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, according to a report released by police. Woman Killed In Three-Vehicle Crash
A woman was killed in an early morning three-vehicle crash in the area. The crash happened at around 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8 in Dutchess County, on Route 9G just north of West Market Street/Route 199 in the town of Red Hook. An initial investigation by state police shows Ulster County resident Dino J. Macaluso, age 54, of Saugerties, was operating a 2005 GM Envoy northbound on State Route 9G when he entered the southbound lane and struck two vehicles.
