A section of Route 55 in the Town of Beekman has reopened after being closed in both directions because of an overturned tractor-trailer crash. The truck was attempting to avoid a car that pulled out in front of the vehicle, which was hauling gravel,  said Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Hudson Valley Man Had Sexual Contact With A Child, Police Say A 44-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly having sexual contact with a child in Dutchess County. New York State Police received reports of a man having sexual contact with a victim under the age of 13 on Wednesday, which prompted an investigation, which led to the arrest of Beekman resident Patrick Mulcahy, Jr., who allegedly engaged in a course of sexual contact with his victim in Dutches.
