Armed Robber Carjacks Victim In Capital Region Neighborhood, Police Say
Police are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in a residential neighborhood in the region. The Schenectady County incident happened at around 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the village of Scotia on Bruce Street. The victim told police the suspect came up behind him and threatened him with a gun. The suspect then forcibly stole his car before fleeing toward North Ballston Avenue. Parents in the Capital District are being warned about a man who allegedly attempted to lure kids into his vehicle near a school. In Schenectady County, the Scotia Police Department issued an alert saying they were investigating multiple incidents of attempted child luring involving a man driving a white pickup truck.
