A former police officer has been sentenced after pleading guilty to attempting to engage in an elaborate cover-up after he hospitalized two people in a hit-and-run crash in Westchester before driving away. Valhalla resident Raymond Beckley, a former police officer in New Castle and New Rochelle, has been sentenced to five years of "shock" probation, starting with 90 days in Westchester County Jail for tampering with evidence. 'Sexually Violent' Offender Convicted Of Abusing 7-Year-Old Reports Move To Wassaic
A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of having sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl has reported a move in Dutchess County. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 27-year-old Gregory Dunckle, who has reported a move from Catskill to Sinpatch Road in Wassaic. A longtime Tarrytown Union Free School District secretary and Putnam County resident has been sentenced to probation and must pay restitution after stealing more than $10,000 from her employer. Lake Peekskill resident Carol Ressa, 54, has been sentenced to five years probation in Westchester County Court, and ordered to finish paying restitution of the balance due to the school district, $2,929.56, during her first 12 months of probation. The family of a 21-year-old Manhattanville College student scolded the drunk driver who struck and killed their son in court at her sentencing on Wednesday.
