Dutchess County native Dorinda R. 'Rindy' Germano, of Poughkeepsie, died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Monticello. Born in Poughkeepsie, Rindy lived her 68 years with a "contagious zest for life and a heart brimming with kindness," according to her obituary. Victims ID'd After Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In Dutchess County Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road.  Hicks said LaFave struck a 2017 Lincoln Navigator head-on in the left southbound lane. Assailant Flees Scene After Woman Stabbed In Poughkeepsie A Hudson Valley woman was stabbed during a fight between two groups of people on a city street.  The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, on Montgomery Street in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Sean McCarthy of the city of Poughkeepsie Police, Donyae Paris Andrews, age 24, of Poughkeepsie, received non-life-threatening injuries to her arm during the attack.
