9 Students, 1 Adult Injured In Hudson Valley School Bus Crash
Nine students and an adult were injured during a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus in the region. The crash occurred in Orange County around 9 a.m., Monday, Oct. 28, at the intersection of Route 52 and Route 17 in the town of Crawford. According to Crawford Police Chief Dominick Blasko, a 2021 Dodge truck was traveling eastbound in the eastbound lane of Route 52 when it collided with a 2024 First Student school bus. Pilot Reports Engine Failure Before Helicopter Crash
The pilot of a 1989 Bell 222A helicopter that crashed in the area said the chopper experienced an engine failure causing the crash and for the helicopter to overturn. The crash took place around 12:38 p.m., Saturday, March 30, near 77 Youngblood Road in Bullville, just west of I-87 in the Town of Crawford in Orange County. The six onboard, five passengers, who were celebrating a birthday, and the pilot, suffered minor injuries, Crawford Police said.
