Driver Ejected From Vehicle During Hudson Valley Crash Airlifted To Hospital A Hudson Valley man was seriously injured after being ejected from a vehicle and trapped underneath the car during a crash. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, near the Palisades Parkway Exit 9W/Thruway.  According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, troopers who responded could not locate a vehicle crash.  At 6 a.m., a male passenger crawled up an embankment just north of the Exit 9W ramp and flagged down a motorist, who then dialed 911, Nevel said.  Nevel said a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was…

The blaze broke out in Rockland County at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 in Bardonia. 26-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash A 26-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened just after 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Orangetown. An investigation revealed that a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, being operated Anthonelli Ramos, of New York City, was traveling north on the PIP and was exiting at exit 9E at the time of the crash, police said. Raging Fire Destroys Cottage At Russian Orthodox Convent In Nanuet A fire has destroyed a cottage located on the property of the Russian Orthodox convent in Nanuet, according to Clarkstown Police. The blaze broke out around 6:18 a.m. Wednesday at the Novo-Diveevo convent located at 100 Smith Road, Clarkstown police Det. Peter Walker said.  Officials were altered to the fire by a woman in the cottage who smelled smoke and called 911. No one was injured, Walker said.  Fire departments on scene included the lead Spring Valley, and Nanuet, Hillcrest, and West Haverstraw. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
