Chrystopher Whyte, of North Brunswick, was found with a single gunshot wound near the shoreline by Pier Village shortly before 9 p.m., NJ Advance says, citing a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jamier Allen, of Albany, was discovered dead from multiple gunshot wounds in the Second Avenue neighborhood near Boenau Street around 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, as Daily Voice previously reported.
Investigators now say Allen’s death is linked to a car fire reported four days earlier, on Saturday, March 22, near Delaware and Eagle streets.

Arthur Thomas, age 47, and Donnie Smith, age 33, were each arraigned on Wednesday, June 11, on new indictments charging them with second-degree attempted assault, a felony. Jonathan Joss and a former neighbor were involved in the incident in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday night, June 1.

An 18-year-old man is behind bars and accused of murdering a young man in the Capital Region.
Saratoga County resident Jaiden Ildefanso, of Clifton Park, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder on Sunday, June 1, in connection with the death of 20-year-old Simon Brault, deputies said.
Brault, who is also from Clifton Park, died at Albany Medical Center on Saturday, May 31, after being stabbed.
