Saratoga County’s Clifton Park Center Mall announced that three of its stores have closed: The Indian restaurant Kati Roll Wala, the CBD Store, and Claire’s. Support is pouring in for the relatives of a young Marine and aspiring police officer from the region who was killed in a car crash. Albany County resident Nicholas Camilli, age 24, of Loudonville, died Thursday, Oct. 26, in the two-car wreck on Old Niskayuna Road, according to Colonie Police. Investigators said Camilli was driving his motorcycle northbound on Old Niskayuna Road at around 7:20 p.m. when a car made a left turn in front of him near W. Cobble Hill Road. Authorities are investigating a two-crash crash in the region that killed a 24-year-old man. The Albany County wreck happened at around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in the hamlet of Loudonville, according to Colonie Police. Investigators said Nicholas Camilli, of Loudonville, was driving his motorcycle northbound on Old Niskayuna Road when a car made a left turn in front of him near W. Cobble Hill Road. A would-be phone scam victim is being credited with helping to catch two suspects accused of trying to swindle them out of nearly $20,000. In Albany County, police were called at around 10 a.m. Friday, April 21, with reports of a possible scam in progress in Loudonville, according to the Colonie Police Department. The victim told police that they had received a phone call from a man pretending to be their grandson who said he was in jail and needed bail money to be released. 4 Charged With Conspiring To Distribute Cocaine In Capital District
Four men from the region are facing federal charges for allegedly running a cocaine ring in the Capital District. Between June and December 2021, the group obtained numerous packages that were shipped by US Mail from Puerto Rico to addresses in Albany and Rensselaer counties, according to the US Attorney’s Office in the northern district. Inside each package was approximately one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of cocaine, prosecutors said. 24-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Capital District
A 24-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the Capital District. The wreck happened in Greene County at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, in the town of Hunter, State police said. Investigators determined that Luke Niosi, of Coxsackie, was riding a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle westbound on State Route 23A when he crossed the center line and struck a guardrail.
