NJ Mom Killed By Falling Tree While Camping With Family In Furious Upstate NY Storm A New Jersey woman was killed in upstate New York over the weekend when a tree fell on her camper during fierce thunderstorms that ripped through the region, authorities said. At about 10:50 a.m. the Delaware County 911 Center received multiple reports of trees down on campers at multiple locations with an individual trapped at the Russell Brook Campground in the Town of Colchester. Carol E. Luistro was inside of her camper when it was struck by a fallen tree, pinning her underneath it, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Colchester police said. 2 Found Dead Inside Home In Region Police are awaiting the results of autopsies after a man and a woman were found dead in a home in the region. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14 on DeBruce Road in Livingston Manor. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty of Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the home for a report of two dead people inside. At the location deputies met the Livingston Manor Fire Department who cleared the building of any hazardous conditions, Chaboty said.
