Inmate Caught With Weapon At Downstate Correctional Facility, Police Say
An inmate at the Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill is facing new charges after being busted with an alleged weapon while he was incarcerated. On Monday, New York State Police investigators announced that on April 18, troopers arrested Brooklyn resident John Hayes following an investigation, that determined that on June 5 last year, Hayes was allegedly in possession of an “improvised weapon” while he was an inmate.
